Having collaborated with the shoppers on earlier initiatives, DIG Architects entered the design course of with a longtime rapport and mutual understanding. This belief empowered the architects to push inventive boundaries, drawing inspiration from structural types. The vaulted ceiling grew to become the undertaking’s defining characteristic, harmonizing architectural intent with aesthetic purity. Complementing this central theme, supplies reminiscent of gabion partitions, frosted glass bricks, and Ceppo De Gre stone have been built-in to evoke a cohesive but strikingly distinctive surroundings.

The house’s structure, whereas largely retaining its unique construction, underwent strategic changes to boost spatial effectivity. A visitor bed room was repurposed right into a examine, permitting for an expanded main suite with a spacious walk-in closet. The residing space, envisioned as a central social hub, connects to auxiliary areas like a custom-designed bar and an open kitchen, emphasizing inclusivity and interplay.

This space serves as the center of the house, accommodating relaxed gatherings, eating, and even movie screenings with ease.

Adjoining to the residing area, the eating space is deliberately designed to foster social connections, with sightlines encouraging interplay. Overhead, the Moon lighting pendant by Davide Groppi turns into a centerpiece, including an ethereal high quality to the room.

True to its identify, the Vaulted Monochrome Haus employs a grayscale palette, accented by Ceppo De Gre marble – a rugged stone hardly ever utilized in Indian interiors. Reworking conceptual components like vaults into tangible types posed important challenges. The ceilings required bespoke templates for precision, whereas built-in lighting demanded progressive options to take care of the purity of design. Equally, creating sliding wall techniques to handle spatial conflicts within the main bed room showcased the architects’ problem-solving prowess.
